AFRICA: GOD IS ON THE MOVE
We are home from South Africa, and with a very quick turn-around, we are packing for Africa again as we head for the MISSION SOS Festival in Morogoro Tanzania with Evangelist Johannes Amritzer and 18 exciting TC Africa leaders. I do not know how we can say, "Thank you," to those of you who pray faithfully and give sacrificially to keep us at the front lines, and when necessary, behind enemy lines.

All I can say is, "Thank YOU, LORD, thank YOU, all of YOU and don't stop now!"
There are exciting opportunities before us and some financial challenges ahead of us.

What an amazing time in Cape Town! GTC All Africa Conference! Over 200 powerful leaders from 24 African nations. (30 nations registered, a number had visa issues) Dr. Jacobus Nomdoe, Sister Erica Nomdoe and all of their team were amazing hosts.

If they can't find hope we must make certain that hope finds them. ~ Dr. Jacobus Nomdoe, GTC Africa Regional Director. Under Dr. Nomdoe's leadership, prayer, worship, and exhortation highlighted the conference as TC Africa continues explosive growth across the continent.

A POWERFUL TEAM OF LEADERS BROUGHT THE WORD

It was a blessing to join Dr. Jacobus Nomdoe, pioneer and Executive Director of Teen Challenge Western Cape, South Africa, and Global Teen Challenge Africa Regional Director and Dr. Kevin Tyler the Global Teen Challenge VP of Field Operations as part of this historic gathering of indigenous leaders as they formulated strategic plans to reach the continent from Libya to Reunion Island. From Gabon to Djibouti.

POWERFUL VOICES OF HOPE
Empowering African Women
Cathy here! What a sweet times we had as the amazing ladies of Teen Challenge gathered to listen and to share, to encourage and be encouraged, to minister to and to receive anointed ministry from their dear sisters. They were pastors' wives, Teen Challenge directors and staff, volunteers and leaders. These amazing warrior princesses are passionate to be all that God wants them to be and to do all that He has for them to do. These women are a mighty force in God's kingdom. They are ready to battle to see His children walk in freedom and victory and to be living examples of that freedom and victory themselves. We laughed and cried together, prayed together and rejoiced together.
God is doing a supernatural work, empowering His daughters in Africa to reach their continent for this end-time harvest.
E-VOTION
FAVOR
Leading Worship
It was a blessing to minister with the amazing worship team here in Cape Town. The ceremonial robe in the picture was given to me by Dr. Ekezie and the team from Cote d'Ivoire. We had wonderful times of joyful praise, singing and dancing and sweet times of worship in God's presence.
A highlight of the conference was the Youth Leaders dialogue with TC leaders from across the continent engaging Young leaders in powerful dialogue and prayer.
An Honor from Nigeria
As we continue to prepare for the fall visit to Nigeria, (Would you like to join us?) the leadership of Teen Challenge in Nigeria joined to pray for me and shared in a traditional Nigerian ceremony where I was granted my new Nigerian tribal name, "Adama"

3  Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man.. Trust in the LORD with all your heart lean not on your own understanding.
Prov 3:3-5

Prepare yourself for favor! Though right now you may face attack, opposition and accusation, God is at work.  The favor of the Lord is yours. At the GTC ALL AFRICA  Conference, Dr Nomdoe reminded the leaders, “Don’t seek finances, seek favor."

This is a season in Teen Challenge when we should not be looking to the government for a hand-out, but they should be looking to us, for solutions.  We are the preeminent strategic asset for a world that has no answers to an escalating drug epidemic.  We are the one program with a 60-year track record of life transformation.

Storms may come. Enemies may rise up. Giants may be in the land. Even in the garden of God’s perfection, there was a snake, but God’s favor is the final authority.

Labor without favor is a never ending struggle with no end
in sight.

We should have a Daniel anointing. We are not coming to the king looking for hand-outs but positioned as stand-outs! We should be the most valued advisor, with answers and the ability to discern the times.  No matter what the culture, empire or political system, Daniel served four kings in his lifetime.

Daniel served Nebuchadnezzar and his son Belshazzar under the Babylonian Empire. He warned Belshazzar of impending danger. He was the only one who could read the handwriting on the wall to tell them that as they were partying, the enemy was at the gates. Then he served Darius and Cyrus of the Medo-Persian Empire. His influence would eventually open the door for Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

Daniel was not moved by circumstances. As Nebuchadnezzar threw his friends in a fiery furnace and palace intrigue sought his life, he trusted God’s plan to prevail.  Even when Cyrus was manipulated into sending him into the lion’s den to die. he did not suffer a scratch, but those who sought his death and their families lost their lives as he was promoted.  That's favor!

Esther lost her parents, her home and her country. Only her uncle was there to put the pieces together. Tragedy was not the end of her story. From homeless orphan, she becomes queen and brings deliverance to the people of Israel. That's favor!

How do you explain Deborah, a simple mother in Israel, becoming a prophetic voice and warrior general as she and Barak led the armies of Israel to victory an overwhelming force.. That's favor!

How do you explain Mary, a young peasant girl in an obscure village becoming the mother of Jesus? That's favor!

How do you explain David, a shepherd boy, left in the field tending sheep, as 7 brothers were paraded before Samuel. He was not even invited to the party until  the prophet says, “The Lord's chosen in not here. We will not sit down until he comes." When David arrives, “the least of these” is anointed as king. David -- giant-killer, poet-warrior and king. Now, That's favor!

Joseph-- Came from the most dysfunctional of families. Left in a pit for dead by his brothers. He ended up in Potiphar's house, was falsely accused and sent to prison. In prison, summoned by Pharaoh he became prime minister. From Pit to Potiphar to Prison to the Palace. That's favor!
How do you explain

Moses, a wanted murderer, exiled to the wilderness in a foreign country, facing first-degree murder charges? How does he become the deliverer of a nation? That's favor!

Mordecai--One day, he is condemned to death. He is then elevated to the second most powerful man in the Persian empire, the largest empire in antiquity.  That's favor!

How do you explain a corrupt "IRS agent" like Zacchaeus? He was too small, too slow, too dishonest, until Jesus invites himself into his house and he finds true riches. That's favor!

Come on Bartemaeus! Your cries fall on the ears of a jeering crowd as they try to silence you. Then Jesus says, “Call Him here,”  and you are miraculously healed. That's favor!

When you have favor, you go from being rejected to accepted, from tolerated to celebrated, from judged to justified, from condemned to conqueror! As we leave again for Africa, may the favor of God rest on you, your marriage, your ministry. May your sitting down and rising up, your coming and your going, all be found in the favor of God.

FOCUS

Again I say
unto you,
That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done
for them of
my Father which is in heaven.

1) VA BEACH SHOOTINGS

Please pray for the families and victims of the horrendous mass shooting at a municipal building here in Virginia Beach, Virginia, The gunman, DeWayne Craddock, was a longtime public utilities employee who had just tendered his resignation before going on a rampage with two .45 caliber handguns. fatally shooting 12 people and wounding others.

This mass shooting is so close to home. Even at CrossWalk, where we ministered on Sunday, they were praying for one of their members who was senselessly gunned down in this violent attack. He leaves his wife without her husband and his children fatherless and will be dearly missed for his service at CrossWalk

We must continue to pray against the spirit of violence in this nation. The constant diet of death and mayhem from the entertainment industry, violent video games, the devaluation of life and the rejection of God by our culture have made even believers vulnerable to the darkness and violence of these last days. We cannot just bury our heads saying "Blessed, Blessed. Blessed!"
It is time to pray, pray pray.We are in this battle together.

2 1) CAPE TOWN, South Africa

AFRICA ARISE! ALL AFRICA LEADERSHIP INTENSIVE & PRAYER

Please pray for God's continuing anointing as leaders from across the continent as they return to their countries with a fresh vision to carry HOPE and bring the claims of the gospel to the lost sons and daughters in Africa.

3) MISSION SOS/Global TC Partnership

We are so excited about the upcoming MISSION SOS outreaches in Morogoro, Tanzania(June) and in Arusha, Tanzania (July). The Africa Capital Cities Tour continues to engage nation's capitals across the continent, speaking truth to power and hope to those seeking answers through Jesus Christ. The ministry of Rev Johannes Amritzer transcends religious differences and brings a unique message of hope through Jesus Christ. We are engaging SOS Kids to reach a new generation of children, as well as SOS AID which is bringing medical care to people in need.

Have you prayerfully considered joining us for one of these incredible festivals in 2020? You can come as an individual or with your local church or Teen Challenge center? Write bernstuff@aol.com If you cannot join us, please prayerfully consider a gift for an African leader to join us for SOS. Help us to raise up TC leaders in evangelism on the continent of Africa.

4) MISSION RESULTS- Praise and Prayer

Remembering, as I walked through an airport, a young man ran up to me suddenly and hugging me, he exclaimed, "Do you remember me?" It was a joy to see Ivan. I am always happy to meet the TC folks but I was so blessed when he shared, "You trained me in evangelism so many years ago. I was one of the first graduates of Serbia Teen Challenge. Thank you, I'm still in the battle." We talked about Al Perna and Dennis Griffith.

He told me of his work in C-pr^s and shared video about his ministry . He gave me a drop box link, but I cannot share or post on the Internet for the safety of the ministry there. Some have fatwah on their lives and might endanger them. I wish I could share the selfie! Let us pray for his continuing work as well as other nameless, faceless workers who labor around the world. These are living evidence of your prayers and faithfulness to stand with us over the years.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pray with us for the global advance of the gospel.
Pray for workers for the Harvest ...
We have Teen Challenge Centers in 125 countries and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in many new nations. They are crying out for help and need staff.
They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet PRACTICAL needs.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples,
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send
out workers into His harvest.”
